Driving Aspergers

Image
Serving as a continuation from my previous blog post, “Raising Aspergers”, Today I (Ethan Stranger) will be discussing a topic that I’m sure many Aspergers have struggled with for many years...in the form of Driving. As an Asperger Person, I’ve struggled with getting behind the wheel for a long time (since 2012 to be exact), I was taught by Dad, my own Driving Instructor & even a friend of mine, but even that still made me nervous and anxious, to the point where driving (in my experience) is an amalgam of those Fast & Furious Films & SpongeBob’s own driving experience whenever he’s at boating school. While Driving is important to everybody (of course, it’s the most popular form for transportation on the road), for an Asperger Person getting behind the wheel, it’s more scaring (especially whenever you’ve heard about either drunk or reckless drivers roaming the roads & causing various accidents or police officers pulling you over for no reason). Even I remember my time i

The Path of Pacifism: The Sweet Perfuma Story

I ( Ethan Stranger ) have mentioned a lot about Entrapta ( and even did a blog post on her, discussing how I related to her due to her being on the Asperger Spectrum). But for this post, I’ve decided to take a little break from Entrapta and discuss another favorite character of mine from Netflix’s She-Ra ...and that character is sweet Perfuma. We’re 1st introduced to this “Gardener Hippie Girl” in Season 1 Episode 4 (Flowers for She-Ra) where we learn that sweet Perfuma & her people of the forested agricultural kingdom of Plumeria, where they’re a peaceful race of forest people with little military defenses. One could argue that the Showrunner (Noelle Stevenson) & various Writers on the series were inspired by the Hippies of the late 1960s, with their clothes & their Gentle/Pacifism manner… watch this funny clip of She-Ra’s Notable Steed (Swift Wind) attempting to train the people of Plumeria… in Weird Horsey Methods. Aspergers for Hire

Today I (Ethan Stranger) will be trying to help my Community in finding new ways for people with Autism or Asperger’s to apply for jobs or perhaps starting a business for yourself. Finding a Job for a person with Autism or Asperger can be difficult due to many different factors. For example, getting used to long and scheduled hours, handling social interactions with coworkers and bosses & the fact that several workplaces can turn down an Asperger candidate for they think that being part of the spectrum makes them ineligible to work anywhere at anytime, which is both sad and unfair. So allow me ( Ethan Stranger ) to share with y'all my opinion related to working as a neurodiverse employee and what we can do to make this inequality slowly go away in the future. I will be sharing my past work-related experiences (though this came at a time before I learned of my own Aspergers) and also what my goal is regarding work in general. I remember most of my early work was simply communit
