Shaping the Water…with Love
Today I ( Ethan Stranger ) will be writing a review based around 2017’s The Shape of Water (a Film by Guillermo Del Toro) & I must say this is one interesting/twisted love story Del Toro crafted, as It’s often described as either an “ underwater version of Beauty & The Beast or The Del Toro Version of The Little Mermaid (with dark/twisted elements). So let’s get reviewing, shall we? Guillermo Del Toro’s Original Plan for The Shape of Water was supposed to be a “Romantic version of the Creature from the Black Lagoon” for Universal, but when those plans fell through , that wouldn’t stop Guillermo Del Toro from creating his vision of the Creature from the Black Lagoon ( which would, of course, be reshaped into “The Shape of Water”).
