The Biden/Harris Era: A New Hope for America

Today I, Ethan Stranger, will be doing my 1st ever (and only) Political Blog Post, in the form of discussing what “Joe Biden/Kamala Harris” will do to our country (will they make improvements or not). In my opinion (being a democrat), I feel like that Biden/Harris are in fact the right people to get the country back on its feet. Especially with issues regarding our nationwide “Asperger Community” which has been left out of the main areas of discussion lately. I feel like (no offense) to past Presidents, like politicians don’t really put a lot of input in helping citizens with disabilities and different neurological profiles (neurodiverse). Each year, millions of Aspergers people (such as myself) struggle in making a living in today’s society, like attempting to move out, study a career or even finding a job (independently if a pandemic goes on).

For the last 4 years, the US has been divided to the point where we don’t know who to follow or to tell the difference between who’s right & who’s wrong, this has made us forget that we are all in this together, and that this is our country, independently of our race, beliefs, characteristics, etc, we all want what's best for our country. However, some people will need extra help or just a little bit of assistance.

Now that’s out of the way, allow me to list 3 possibilities in what & how our new government can help improve the lives of everyone in the “Asperger’s community”:

  1. I previously mentioned in my “How to treat the World” post, I’d like for the government  to encourage all Doctors & Nurses to unite as one to find new ways to understand and help all autistic patients (children and adults alike) when they have to go through a scary procedure such as a surgery. We all deserve medical care, but we also need doctors & nurses that understand that Asperger people need specialized care & attention. We might have difficulty in cooperating with procedures because we're nervous or scared and just need to be listened to and given some time to process the information.

  1. Most people with autism and asperger’s struggle in the education department, to the point where they can feel like “They just weren’t meant for College” (like me), instead they might prefer to attempt to pursue their dreams without the need of a degree. However, it’s not as easy as what we usually see in a Disney Channel Movie, it's really hard to be successful out there, especially without a degree, but we have to try. So I encourage the decision makers to give a little more attention to those with special talents and educational needs and to maybe create a program that’s designed to assist us/them in transitioning from high school to real life, maybe having a mentor can help!

  1. I feel that people with Asperger have difficulty finding work, especially during the pandemic (at least that has been my case). However, I’m pretty sure that, eventually, things will go back to normal, but this doesn't mean that things will get easier! So I encourage the decision makers in our communities to create a website to help people with special needs in finding a line of work which they might enjoy and even be good at (according to every individual's personal skills).

While I might understand that not everybody might be on fully onboard with the plan that Joe Biden & Kamala Harris might have in putting the country back on its feet. In my opinion, it's a great opportunity for Asperger People, who have a ton to offer this world, to become more integrated in our society. Think about it, there are millions of challenges for people with disabilities and life conditions, but with the right mentality & a society that treats us with dignity, we can all prosper and more importantly, we can all grow. For someone like me with Aspergers, everyday is tough & I wouldn’t change it for a second because for I love for who I am & they way I (Sometimes) see the world, so that’s why I choose to have hope that both Joe Biden & Kamala Harris  will be good allies to the Asperger Community, for they can be the “Blueprints for a Better Tomorrow...and probably a Better Reality”, somewhere down the line.

To wrap this post up are the encouraging speeches of “Black Panther (Right Corner)” & even from “Rachel Leighton/Diamondback (Left Center)”, who ever thought that fictional characters can come up with “better sentences of encouragement”...

Well this is Ethan Stranger once again signing off & remember…”That’s there’s plenty one man can do… if he’s the right man/woman (which is of course you), but we can achieve the impossible if we unite”.
