BoJack Horseman Presents: The CuddlyWhiskers Show
Hello to all fellow BoJack Horseman Fans, I want to follow-up on my 1st BoJack-related Post (The Horse That Couldn’t Be Broken: The Butterscotch Horseman Story) with another relatable character from the Netflix Series (whom in my opinion should’ve gotten more episode appearances & should’ve been made more of a Mentor to BoJack himself), and that guy (or big fat hamster) is none other than Mr. CuddlyWhiskers himself. Despite his few appearances throughout the show, Mr. CuddlyWhiskers represents the reality of finding happiness in a world where no one appears to have it (especially because it’s not centered on money or awards, which is refreshing if you ask me). So allow me (Ethan Stranger) to delve deeper into the way CuddlyWhiskers is represented on the show and why he is so relevant to our society nowadays.
We first meet CuddlyWhiskers in the Flashback Episode within Season 3 (The BoJack Horseman Show) where Princess Carolyn (whom at the time is in a relationship with BoJack himself) failed to give him new shows for him to star in, he isn't very relevant until she tries to convince BoJack to be a part of CuddlyWhiskers new show (The Life and Loves of Mitch McFadden and his Friends and Family… Mitch’s Life for short). After having a meeting with Cuddlywhiskers (alongside his lovely assistant Jill (Picture, Left), but mentions that he wants this show to be remembered as something special, which triggers BoJack in a sense, but still isn’t convinced until Princess Carolyn once again pursues him, in which he finally accepts.
Following the 1st read-through for CuddlyWhiskers Show, executives told both him & BoJack that this show will be as big as “Horsing Around”, which concerns BoJack for this isn’t what he wanted, he wanted to star in CuddlyWhiskers’s new show in attempt to separate from his role as The Horse from “Horsing Around”, which is something many actors & actresses can relate to in real-life, many TV stars (or stars who are well-known for one particular role) attempt to separate themselves from the roles that made them hits & recognizable to show us that they’re more than just famous for one role. I can (somewhat) relate to this, for I (Ethan Stranger) use the form of blogging to separate myself from the past, from being just a simple Class-Clown Trumpet Player in my High School years or just being an Extra in Dr. Strange (Picture, Center) to being a blogger who only talks about Aspersers but also about different topics that I find interesting. What we (the people) attempt to do, in order to become more recognizable, is to always do more than just one thing - plus that’s the whole point of life, exploring new possibilities until we land the mark that can make us happy (maybe even more than one thing). However, the big question still remains: does being recognized or accomplished actually give us true happiness? Or is it just an illusion of happiness and we need something more deep, more personal, to actually achieve it?
So following this, both BoJack & CuddlyWhiskers spend all night in an attempt to rewrite the entire story & even change BoJack’s character (though it’s mainly CuddlyWhiskers doing all the typing while BoJack’s getting drunk & going crazy, telling him to add whatever comes out his mouth, If you're interested, you can watch This Clip shows both BoJack & CuddlyWhiskers braining on their new show idea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzXW9XagyBg&ab_channel=kingHorseman,
With CuddlyWhiskers new show titled “The BoJack Horseman Show”, things were almost looking up for BoJack Horseman but learned too late about the batshit craziness that he had created with CuddlyWhiskers, the series received scathing reviews & the end result was cringe-inducing and disastrous, so much so they attempted to bring then-hot pop star Sarah Lynn as a guest star in the episode "Hello, Old Friend”, but that didn’t happen, thus leading to the series only lasting 7 episodes & becoming a huge flop in both BoJack & CuddlyWhiskers career.
After the BoJack Horseman Show failed, CuddlyWhiskers became depressed, but this brought him to a very real and painful realization that many of us have yet to understand: Money & Awards are meaningless if you are not at peace and happy with yourself in the first place. CuddlyWhiskers understood this and took a giant decision, he decided to dramatically change his life and start focusing more on himself more than on what other people thought, and departed to Ojai, California where he lived a peaceful, Buddhist-esque lifestyle (as well as admitting to both Diane & BoJack that he’s finally found his happiness), read his quote:

I find CuddlyWhiskers relatable to real-life (especially among Big Hollywood Celebs) because we usually think that they prefer Money & Awards over any other thing out there. But this isn't necessarily true, we are all human beings, and we need to ask ourselves: what will truly bring happiness to us? Nowadays Actresses like “Jennette McCurdy & China Anne McClain” are thinking about leaving the show business in attempt to pursue other passions (read more here):

As for me (Ethan Stranger), one of my dreams is breaking into the entertainment business myself, however I’ve recently started to ask myself, can that really make me happy? Or is it just another step on my journey before finding my true passion. Now I can see why parents didn't want to enroll me into that kind of life back when I was young so I could enjoy a normal childhood like all of my other friends.
