Vaccinating the World

Completing a trilogy that started with my Coronastrophy! Post, then continued in my Streets of COVID Post, I (Ethan Stranger) would like to report I’ve finally received my 1st COVID vaccine shot (it was Pfizer’s). Now I must await for my 2nd Vaccine Shot (hopefully by then, the pandemic will begin to die, restrictions and regulations will be reduced to a minimum, mask requirements will no longer be a thing (though it has helped me with seasonal allergies) & things can go back to the way they were (or so we think), let’s delve deeper....



For those of you that haven't been following my posts, I’ve been struggling lately to get used to life during the pandemic - I find it that I’m often feeling anxious because of all the uncertainty there is and stress, I’ve been learning how to cope with them but it’s still hard to do for me. One of my biggest concerns was getting my COVID vaccine shot, in an attempt to be feel more protected from this deadly virus. I’ve noticed that I’ve been feeling like this since everything started, all the way back when I was in Lima, before returning to the US.


A couple of weeks ago, after a long wait, I finally received the COVID vaccine. I couldn't help but feel nervous about getting it due to many reports about its side effects. However I do recognize that I tend to think that the worst will happen anytime I’ve got a medical procedure coming up (however I’ve been working on not trying to get so nervous because most of the time it’s just an unreal idea on my mind).


Following me finally getting the vaccine coursing through my veins, I did feel sore on my left shoulder (as well as a bit of sore throat, light headache & even sensing the vaccine surging through my stomach), but all those side-effects went away (expect for the Sore Shoulder, which takes longer to heal). A day after my vaccine shot, I decided to go out for a run (while still wearing a mask) & boy oh boy, I felt like a new man, for I was full of energy while running - I know that this feeling wasn't an effect of the vaccine itself, it had to do with me (in particular) because I knew that now I felt more safe now that I had received the vaccine shot.


While I’m not saying that the COVID-Vaccine is like a Super-Soldier Serum or a Magical Cure for every Cold or Flu (its science!),  it’s just nice to know that after the shot, you feel more secure...from the inside. Now, I know that I still have to get  my 2nd Vaccine Shot, but that's going to happen pretty soon! 


I also wish that all other families who’ve been separated or have experienced loss due to the COVID Pandemic, actually just everyone in the world, would get access to the vaccine shot ASAP.

An unlikely sequel to “ Diamondback in the Rough: The Rachel Leighton Story”. I, Ethan Stranger , will be discussing another of Marvel Comics’ Hottest women (who has yet to headline her own movie), may I present, “The Black Cat (Felicia Hardy)”, enemy, love interest, and ally to our “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”, 1st appearing in “ Amazing Spider-Man #194 ”, Created by Marv Wolfman & Dave Cockrum, you can obviously tell she’s a ripoff of DC’s Catwoman, but allow me to break down to you why I love her... High School Crushes: Preparing for Love

A continuation from my previous blog posts, “High School Memoirs: Teachers & Bullies Club: No More”, I, Ethan Stranger will be discussing about a topic that I’m sure we (including people with Asperger’s) can relate to and that’s “Love (or whatever we think it really is during our High School Years)” . You see this letter (picture, above) , this was written by my “High School Crush”, we shared 3 ½ beautiful years together (From Late 2011-Late 2014), we gave each cute nicknames, I called her “Girl” and she called me “Buddy”.
