Marvel’s What if…Episode 7

This episode of What if was kinda a “disappointment” (in my opinion), as originally I thought the plot of this episode was simply “What if…Thor was never banished to Earth”, which sort of follows, though they push it into more of a goofy-fashion (as within this alternate universe), Thor was “raised as an only child”, since Odin returned the young Loki to Laufey (Picture: Bottom Left Corner), thus Loki ended up growing up looking like a “complete Frost Giant (Picture: bottom Right Corner)”.

The concept idea of Thor being raised as an only child seemed rather silly, thus causing him to throw wild galactic parties on earth (to be fair, I believe that the “despicable LOUD Family causes more destruction than Party Thor’s Parties across the world), besides I felt like “Party Thor” was being a bit like Hercules from the original Marvel Comics (Pictures: Bottom Center), for he was the “true Party God”

Though I’m not sure if we’ll see that side of Hercules we’ll see in the MCU (following his brief cameo with “Thor: Love and Thunder”), maybe we’ll see him flirt with Captain Marvel or She-Hulk or thrown a wild party with Starfox and Pip The Troll (guess we’ll just have to wait)

Plus I also felt as if this episode was perhaps just an excuse to showcase both Thor and Captain Marvel duking it out, seeing how as more powerful (it was both extreme and childish in my opinion). Surprisingly, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) has appeared 3 times within the 1st season of the What If…Animated Series (Pictures: Bottom Center), though what’s killed someone to alter their appearances since these 3 come from alternate MCU realities. The 1st Captain Marvel (Picture: Bottom Left Corner) hails from a reality where she fights alongside Captain America and SHIELD against Loki and the Asgardian forces, the 2nd Captain Marvel (Picture: Bottom Center) is called in to deal with Party Thor and the 3rd Captain Marvel (picture: Bottom Right Corner) died while battling an Infinity stone-powered Ultron. Though I do hope to see more alternate versions of Captain Marvel, they should at least try to alter her look (as it looks like I’m looking at 3 identical sisters raised in different universes or it’s the same Captain Marvel with the ability to travel across different dimensions).

To be honest (after seeing the Party Thor concept art), I thought he’d existed within the Starlord T’Challa (Picture: Bottom Left Center) or the universe where Killmonger rescued Tony Stark (Picture: Bottom Right Corner), but that wasn’t the case, thus I was hoping that this episode would further explore about the future formation of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, with Thor being a wild party animal (what about the other Avengers members) and with several guardians members attending Thor’s party, what becomes of those members?

And Finally, I get why this variant version of Thor throws wild parties, as he’s lonely (since he grew up with no brother like Loki), thus throws wild parties to cope with this emptiness inside of him, I (Ethan Stranger) am an only child, but I don’t throw wild parties (expect for my B-Days back in the Day), besides Thor’s lucky whenever he threw his party, he found love (#LUCKY)

What if…(Thor) Scenario-based Stories: The part of the blog where I talk about various other Multiversal possibilities concepts within the animated series (who knows, maybe these tales could either be made into actual comics or episodes for the animated series) and remember…anything is possible in a multiverse (thus allows us to get creative in a twisted way).

  1. What if…Thor saved Asgard while still being a Mortal: Within this Alternate MCU universe, Odin still banishes Thor to Earth (but doesn’t send down Mjolnir). Also in this universe, other heroes (like Iron man, Captain America, Captain Marvel  Etc. ) get involved during the events of the 2011s Thor (as well as showcase both Bill Foster/Goliath and Daredevil working as Shield agents). During the big showdown with the Destroyer (in which a variant form of the Avengers Assembles), Thor (who’s still a mortal) ends up losing an arm, but after the battle, Iron Man melts the Destroyer to make various Asgarian armor for his teammates (including for himself, Picture: Bottom Right Center) and creates Thor a Robotic arm, thus travel to Asgard to confront Loki, where he places a curse of Mjolnir to prevent Thor from ever lifting it before sending it to earth, though Thor and the Avengers defeat Loki, Thor is unworthy (Picture: Bottom Left Corner) and Odin is dead, however, Stark designs Thor an “E.D.I. Bio-Mech Suit (equipped with a “Hammer, Power Harness and Belt)”, Thor is still a member of the Avengers and later learns of “The Mighty Thor (Jane Foster)” who also joins the Avengers

Avengers Members: Iron Man, Captain America, War Machine, Sharon Carter, Falcon, Black Widow, Hawkeye, (unworthy) Thor, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Goliath (Bill Foster), and Mighty Thor (Jane Foster)

  1. What if…The Avengers battled Loki without Thor: Taking inspiration from this What if…Comic story (Picture: Bottom Center), in which The Avengers assembled other heroes to aid during the Kree-Skrull War after Rick Jones was killed, imagine something like that happening (within an alternate MCU Universe), in which another variant version of Thor never got banished to Earth, but instead mourns the loss of Loki (who was thought dead during battle), but was secretly revealed to be alive and now serving under Thanos, as the duo began plotting out their master plan (in which The Black Order attacks Xandar, thus Loki manipulates Thor, lady Sif and The Warriors 3 to go off and aid, leading Thanos to lead an attack on Asgard while Loki leads an attack on Earth). Without Thor by the Avenger's side, Nick Fury calls in Captain Marvel (who’s managed to round up the Ravagers and other Galactic Bounty Hunters to Earth’s cause), while others from Earth (Like Daredevil, Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), Shang-Chi, Wong, Ant-Man (Hank Pym), Wasp (Janet Van Dyne), Goliath (Bill Foster), War Machine, Falcon, Black Panther, Sharon Carter, She-Hulk, Red Guardian and White Widow) to aid the overwhelming Avengers. By the time the battles are over, Thanos is dead, Loki is defeated and Thor wanders on “what he’d miss”.

Then the Watcher explains (inspired by the weird endings of the 1985s Clue Movie) on would've happened if a member of the original Avengers line-up wasn’t present:

-Captain America: Still frozen in Ice  -Hawkeye: retired much early before 2012                      -Black Widow: The events within her 2021 movie happened much earlier (around 2012)

-Hulk: Still being hunted down by General Thunderbolt Ross and the US Government

-Iron Man: deciding to battle Loki his way (alongside War Machine and his Iron Legion)

3. What if…Carol Danvers possessed the power of Thor: imagine if the events of 2011s Thor and 2019s Captain Marvel merged into one film, in which this alternate universe could also explore “What if…Asgard came into conflict with the Kree-Skrull War on Earth”, as (within this universe), Carol Danvers becomes “The Mighty Thor (Picture: Bottom Right and Left Corner)” and a variant/young adult version of Monica Rameau becomes Captain Marvel (Picture: Bottom Center), perhaps also in this universe, Loki attempts to form an alliance with the Kree Empire and Thor and Mighty Thor (Carol Danvers) become somewhat of a power couple (simply known as “Love and Thunder”)

  1. What if…Loki possessed the power of Thor: Taking Inspiration from this What if…Comic story (Picture: Bottom Left Corner), imagine (within an alternate MCU reality), during Thor’s banishment, Loki discovers Mjolnir 1st before a (Mortal) Thor does and uses it to aid in his conquest to rule all over Asgard, then sends the Destroyer to kill Thor, but the Lady Sif and the Warriors 3 (alongside Valkyrie) do battle with the Destroyer (aided by The Avengers, alongside Captain Marvel, Sharon Carter, Falcon, Ant-Man (Hank Pym) and War Machine), thus this alternate could explore “What if…The Avengers assembled a year early”. After defeating the Destroyer and with (Mortal) Thor, Frigga arrives to Midgard and with Dark Asgardian magic, has Thor’s Soul be transferred into the Destroyer itself (Picture: Bottom Right Corner). Upon encountering Loki on Asgard (alongside the Avengers and his Asgardian allies), Thor (whose soul is within the Destroyer's body) manages to reclaim Mjolnir and defeat Loki, however upon learning of Loki haven killed Odin, Thor becomes the new king of Asgard, Valkyrie becomes a permeant member of the Avengers and Frigga promises to someday find a way to have Thor reborn as Flesh and blood soon in the future…

  1. What if…Iron Man killed Thor: Inspired by their 1st encounter within the 2012 Avengers Movie (Watch The Scene here), manage what would’ve happened if Iron Man killed Thor…

If Iron Man (in some way) killed Thor (especially when Thor literally powered up Tony’s Suit with Lightning), perhaps Loki would use that as his chance to escape, where he would end up betraying Thanos and altering Asgard of what has happened (and even giving Odin the location of Thanos and his forces) before disappearing from Earth. Meanwhile, Cap and Iron Man take Thor’s body back to SHIELD for analysis, with Cap’s disappointed in Iron Man for killing someone they don’t know about and could’ve helped them stop Loki, however, Lady Sif has arrived and takes Iron Man into custody to stand trial for killing Thor. The Avengers try their best to get Iron Man free of the charges (even Bruce Banner calls in his cousin, Jennifer Walters, who’s not yet She-Hulk, to act as Stark’s lawyer), however, the Asgardians refuse to release Stark, thus leading Rhodey into rescuing Stark himself (but not before managing to grab a piece of Uru metal), with his escape Odin declares War on Tony Stark and his company (Stark Industries). With the piece of Uru metal he stole, Tony Stark creates the so-called “Thorbuster Armor (Picture: Bottom Center)”, even creates one for Rhodey (as well as creates “The Iron Legion”, made from Stark Tech and Uru Metal), with aid from General Ross and the US ARMY, Stark prepares to go to war with Asgard (thus ending with “What if…Iron Man battled Odin”), meanwhile Nick Fury gathers the remaining Avengers (as well as other heroes) as the team-up with the Skrulls and Nova Corps to combat Loki (who’s now leader of Thanos’s Remaining forces after Odin killed him)

  1. What if…Odin had banished Thor to the cosmos: imagine (within an alternate MCU reality), Odin banished Thor into the Cosmos (instead of to Earth), perhaps we’ll see a “Mortal Thor” land on Sakaar and be forced to fight as a Gladiator, this alternate MCU universe could also explore “What if…Drax the Destroyer became a gladiator, What if…Captain Marvel were a Gladiator Prisoner and What if…Yondu sold young Peter Quill to the Grandmaster”. In the end, things play very similar to 2011s Thor, but with Thor haven formed a galactic superhero team (The Asgardians of the Galaxy, Picture: Bottom Center), how could this affect him from ever joining the Avengers and ever meeting Jane Foster, perhaps Thor’s team will stop both Loki and Thanos all together…

Asgardians of the galaxy members: Thor (Leader), Valkyrie, Korg, Miek, Drax the Destroyer, Groot, Peter Quill, Bereet, Talos the Untamed, Hercules, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), The Destroyer, Warriors 3, Lady Sif & Skurge the Executioner

  1. What if…Thor battled the Eternals: imagine if the events of 2021s The Eternals happened during the 2011s Thor, where a “Mortal Thor” (before later regains his powers) encounters the Eternals, The Eternals battle the Destroyer, perhaps a more comic-accurate Kro (Picture: Bottom Right Center) could team-up with Loki, to manipulate Thor (alongside Lady Sif and the Warriors 3) in battling the Eternals before finally stopping both Kro and Loki from allowing “The Emergence” to happen and Asgard from Falling, though the partnership of Loki and Kro remains, perhaps leading them into manipulating more events like “What if…The Eternals invaded Asgard and What if…The Avengers battled the Deviants” (making Thanos not the big bad)

So who else wants to share there What if…Scenario-Based Stories  (Based on Thor-related)

Until Then…Ethan Stranger says…Excelsior…But wants to ask a Question…who thinks “Actress Charlize Theron (Picture: Bottom Center)” would’ve made a “Great Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (even though she now plays Clea in the MCU), imagine if (either in Live-action or Animation), she portrayed (or voice)  a variant version of Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), what do y’all think?
