Welcome Back...to the Wayne🧡

Hello to the remaining of Nickelodeon’s fanbase to the short-lived/forgotten Nicktoon Series “Welcome to the Wayne”, this is so sad cause I (Ethan Stranger) enjoy this series, but the problem was that audiences just weren’t clicking with the series enough, but is there a ray of hope for this series, well that’s what I (Ethan Stranger) plan on discussing, in the hopes that Nickelodeon gives this Nicktoon Series a 2nd chance in Stardom (as well as going over it’s broadcasting history & how I find certain characters within the series relatable & likable), so without further ado, let’s #Savethe Wayne🧡

Welcome to the Wayne debut as a pilot all the way back in 2014 and was supposed to debut on Nickelodeon in 2016 before getting bumped up one year later. Finally, in July 2017, Welcome to the Wayne premieres on Nickelodeon (with a few sets of problems), like (a month later) the Ducktales reboot (Picture: Bottom Left Corner) premieres, many people compare Welcome to the Wayne to Disney’s Gravity Falls and even faces the annoyance popularity competition of The Loud House (the only Nicktoons that I truly despise and wish it went extinct alongside the Dinosaurs and prehistoric beasts).

Despite all of this, what I liked about Welcome to the Wayne was the creativity behind the series (I really enjoyed the weirdness and the weird places from inside the Wayne), though I felt like there was so much more to explore (like I wish there was an “Origin episode talking about the history of the Wayne”), but sadly that never happened to the rushing of season 2, which meant the end of the series (leaving so many unanswered questions and more adventures to go on)...

Plus, I even enjoyed the loveable characters of Welcome to the Wayne (Picture: Bottom Center), they’re so adorable and cool (in their own special way, they each bring a little something unique to “Team Timbers”), almost made me wish they did a “special origin episodes for each member of Team Timbers”, because there’s so much about them that has yet to be told. Besides (in my opinion), Team Timbers look cooler than stupid Lincoln Loud and his annoying dummy friends (though Ronnie Anne and her friends from The Casagrande's series are cool and unique in their own way, wish they had a crossover with Team Timbers).

(Plus click to watch a clip of Welcome to the Wayne featuring Madison Payne, who looks like a young Bindi Irwin. Madison Payne deserves a “special origin episode” as this was her only appearance)

Plus (to be honest), I (Ethan Stranger) had a crush on “The Spy from Apartment 8I (Yelena Bishop)”, she looks in a suit (doesn’t she), besides check out that gorgeous blonde hair (though Olly Timbers thinks she’s just dyed her hair (roots people, Olly’s talking about invisible roots). Plus, just look at those devilish (yet) angel-like eyes (thus cue the music), I also believe that Yelena Bishop deserves a “special origin episode” as there is so much we don’t about her past (especially with her ex-husband, Jonah Bishop) and how she became so fascinated in the weirdness of the Wayne.

Despite my love for Welcome to the Wayne, The only character that I really didn’t from the series is Andrei The Vampire (Picture: Bottom Left Corner), though he mentions that he’s a “tap-dancing beekeeping Whaler”, but he’s a vampire (though looks more like a humanoid fish with a fi-styled hairdo). Plus I felt like Andrei was sort of a bland character and prevented us from learning more about the other members of Team Timbers (no offense Billy Lopez), even Squidward agrees with me (Picture: Bottom Center). In my opinion, what could’ve made Andrei a more interesting character perhaps makes him more like “Michael Morbius from the 1994 Spider-Man animated Series”, somewhat of a more tragic human character who was cursed as a vampire and forced to feed off the life-force of humans…

Now that I’ve cleared all of my Welcome to the Wayne fandom out of the way, let’s get down to a way on how we can #Savethe Wayne🧡 (because I see the potential for this series, perhaps Paramount+ can save it)

So now this would be the part of the blog where I (Ethan Stranger) would partner with Welcome to the Wayne creator (Billy Lopez, Picture: Top Left Corner) in coming up with new storytelling ideas for the show, thus (similar to how Bojack and CuddleyWhiskers partner up to make their new show different from Horsing around, in a kid-friendly way):

The point being, “How do we clear that Welcome to the Wayne is not a sudden ripoff of Disney’s Gravity Falls and make it better than that despicable Loud House”, like Rick Peck would say, I mean we gotta restart from scratch...

(Tropic Thunder Quote)

The best way (in my opinion) to make Welcome to the Wayne better (besides reimagining Andrei the Vampire), is to incorporate more of a “Strange/Weirder tone”, and make all members of Team Timbers more outcasts (including Madison Payne) somewhat outcasts from “Normal people”, take inspiration from various other creative minds that’ll best fit the World of  Welcome to the Wayne, like  “wondrous world of Steve Ditko’s Dr. Strange Run (Read more about that in my “Dr. Strange: By Steve Ditko” post), the childish imaginations of both Willaim Joyce and Roald Dahl and the extreme weirdness of DC’s Doom Patrol”, as well ripping a page from Star Trek (doing small story arcs, leading to the big season finale cliffhanger that'll continute in the next season until leading to the series fianle, where everything is reslove, ending on a high note within the finale episode), adding wilder villains like the ones from the 2018 TMNT series (read more about that in my TMNT: Rise Post) and ripping a page from the Muppets show (like including more celebrity guest-stars), watch here for an example:

(what are the odds of Trevor Noah reenacting this scene with a member of Team Timbers)

Plus I believe there was an episode where Olly Timbers (Picture: Bottom Left Corner) attempted to teach “The Arcsine/Arannacille (Picture: Bottom Right Corner)” meaning of “FUN”, kind of a missed opportunity to have Olly attempt to that “Spongebob FUN song”, but then something stops him from singing the full version…

Speaking of Spongebob (feel free to check out my I’m A Goofy Goober: The SpongeBob (Birthday) Post), Welcome to the Wayne managed to get away with doing a “Spongebob spoof (SpongeRobert RectangleShorts, Picture: Bottom Center)”, and that right there should’ve opened the door for Welcome to the Wayne to do more crossovers (or parodies) based around other Nicktoon Series’ (like the recent Middlemost post Series), I was hoping for a “Welcome to the Wayne/It’s Pony Crossover”...

-I think crossovers can be really, really, exciting. But they have to exist for a reason

(Alex Kurtzman)

I (Ethan Stranger) can agree on that, Crossovers (or parodying) open the doorways to creative imaginative possibilities…

(click here to listen to the attention that “CN’s Uncle Grandpa” is now receiving due to that “Steven Universe Crossover”), This makes me wonder if something like that can also happen to Welcome to the Wayne, following the introduction of that “Spongebob spoof (SpongeRobert RectangleShorts)”, that alone can help shed some light on Welcome to the Wayne, thus bringing back to stardom for another round.

Speaking of which, to all of the Welcome to the Wayne fans and fanbases, check out Netflix’s Dead End: Paranormal Park (Picture: Bottom Right Corner), as it’s like an amalgam of Gravity Falls and Welcome to the Wayne, but it manages to be it’s own think (hope more seasons are coming), highly recommend (Billy Lopez) to check out, maybe you’ll learn a thing or 2 from that series…

Speaking about earlier, when comparing both “Gravity Falls and Welcome to the Wayne”, I feel like that’s just wrong, as there are many shows that may have the same concept/aspect, but in their own unique way, they try to be their own thing and establish their own fanbases, plus (if lucky, like Star Trek) gain a strong cult following that it’ll have fans (and a much bigger audience wanting more)...plus think of comparing  Gravity Falls and Welcome to the Wayne” is like comparing DC’s Doom Patrol and Marvel’s X-Men (Picture: Top Left Corner), as both superteams debut in 1963, overtime the 2 teams became rather different, with X-Men tend to be more focus on the “themes of racism, prejudices, hate crime (while going on weird adventures)”, Doom Patrol tended to focus more on the “weird adventures and bizarre storytelling” (thus that’s what I feel like what Welcome to the Wayne was going for from the beginning with its pilot). Gravity Falls sets its weirdness in a small town within the woods while Welcome to the Wayne sets all of its weirdness at an apartment complex (Dubbed: The Wayne).

(check out my “X-Men: by Chris Claremont and My Greatest Adventure: The Doom Patrol Story” blog posts)

Besides (as of now), I can kind of know what Team Timbers (Especially Ansi Molina) have been through, while living in an Apartment-styled complex as well (though it’s nothing like The Wayne, there have been various weird instances around at the apartment area that I was staying at), also had to deal with the loud traditions and holidays (since this all happened in India, read more about that experience in my Hooray for Hyderabad Post), but at least Ansi was able to intact with people his age, don’t get wrong, I have made new friends, but they are slightly older than me (and I’m just a young adult), thus whenever I travel, making friends my age is kind of a challenge, as for Ansi Molina (click here to watch), I know how it feels to have a crush on someone, Ansi (so don't feel left out or too nervous in admitting):

(within that same episode base on the clip), Poor Saraline Timbers gets mistaken for a Gremlin                  (Picture: Top Center) (Shame they didn’t consider reenacting this scene from Gremlins 2):

And that (Ladies and Gentlemen) are all of my ideas on how Billy Lopez can convenience Nickelodeon to give Welcome to the Wayne a 2nd chance at stardom (same goes Glitch Techs (read about that in my “Glitch Techs: The Miko Kubota File” post) (For Miko ) and The Harper House (read about that in my “Welcome back to…The Harper House”) as well, Even Mr. Krabs (Picture: Top Left Corner) agrees, for saving Welcome to the Wayne is like saving the world (for whoever controls The Wayne controls the World), now (for all of the Welcome to the Wayne fans and fanbases) go save both the World and the Wayne or you’re all fired! As I mentioned before, there are a lot of creative imaginative possibilities within this series that have yet to be explored (unless there’s a fanfiction written about this series that has filled in those blanks), however, having been annoyed by the popularity competition of The Loud House, I believe that Nickelodeon should give Welcome to the Wayne a 2nd chance (perhaps Paramount+ can revive the series, either as a continuation or a soft reboot of the series), just be sure the humor matches that from the “Old Epsidoes of SpongeBob (just a suggestion)”, besides what are the odds of my Cousin (B.Ryan) and his Princess Charming doing a reenactment of this Muppet Pure imagination music video (guest-Starring: Timber Timbers alongside)...or (just for fun) another cast of colorful characters that you or your Princess Charming had grown up with:

You know, there’s an idea for a “Welcome to the Wayne Movie”, loosely an amalgam of the events of both “Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World: Dominion (Picture: Bottom Center)”, where Team Timbers (including Madison Payne) attempt to save the Wayne from getting destroyed and all of the bizarre creatures that call the Wayne there home been taken away by some shady government corporation (with ties to Area 51). Despite their best efforts, Saraline Timbers ends releases all of Wayne’s bizarre creatures into the world (causing many civilians around the world to become “Normas”, people who go loopy when in contact with Wayne Phenomena), but the world’s just gonna have to deal with co-existing alongside the Wayne Phenomena, thus a new era has dawned within that Nicktoons universe, Welcometo the Wayne World.

(Watch here to picture Team Timbers reenacting this scene)

(I pray the day, the Loud Family gets trampled by a stampede of Dinosaurs and Lincolns gets eaten by T.Rex, just like Eli Mills, thus making room…for the return of Nickelodeon’s Welcome to the Wayne

Well…I said what I said about Welcome to the Wayne, it’s great to show with a unique cast of characters, whose origins have yet to be truly fleshed out more (even wrote my own fanfiction based around the series, not sure if Billy Lopez would be interested in reading it someday) but I believe it deserves another chance at stardom thus I encourage the fanbase to #Savethe Wayne🧡

(for an alternate chant): “End the Loud, Save the Wayne 🧡

(until that happens, Ethan Stranger signs off..with theme music from Welcome to the Wayne):

(also feel free to share your creative imaginative ideas for Welcome to the Wayne, in case Billy Lopez does wanna revive it)

As for the romance between Ansi Molina and Julia Wiles, only AL Jarreau has the answer…

(Read more about AL Jarreau in myMornin'...With Al Jarreau”)

(What are the odds of Trevor Noah portraying that late/great singer?)
