How to Treat the World II: Languages & Ages

Image
An unexpected sequel to my “How to Treat the World” Post. Today I, Ethan Stranger , will be discussing how Doctors & Nurses should handle patients that are either elders or don’t speak English properly (nor can’t even speak English at all). This idea came after my mom was discussing her father’s time in therapy, which is difficult to handle due to his elderly age & the fact that he can’t speak English at all (it’s not his native language), for he understands a bit of English, but not a whole lot. I think that anyone in his situation might feel frustrated at the fact of not being able to easily communicate with others because of a language barrier. While 2020 wasn’t a good year for anybody (especially overpressured Doctors & Nurses) due to the Corona-Pandemic, I feel that it was an even worse year for the elderly as they lost their ability to interact safely with others - they must’ve experience a lot of fear (knowing that they are at high risk when compared to younge...

2020: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Image
I think that, like many others, my expectations for 2020 were shattered completely by the hard reality we had to face. As a person with Aspersers, this was very difficult to digest and adapt to, but, starting 2021, I can safely say I was able to overcome these difficulties. So allow me, Ethan Stranger , to share with y’all how 2020, a year that was supposed to be a fresh start for many of us, ultimately didn't go as planned (not just on me, but on the entire world), forcing us to change every single one of our plans to adjust to our new reality and showing us that we’re stronger than what we might believe. When 2020 was coming around the corner, in my mind, I was quite shocked to see how incredible it was that I made it this far in life (especially after having to restructure all of my expectations when I left the US and moved to Peru) and I was hoping that 2020 could be the launching point for various great opportunities & changes (especially for somebody with Aspersers). I h...

“Let the Music Play”

Now I know what you're thinking, who’s that ladies man-like guy in the center of his own HS Dance Team, why that’s me, “ Ethan Stranger ”, this happened on my 18th B-Day, to be honest, it was one of the happiest moments in my entire school life. However, you might ask yourself, how did somebody like me befriend these ladies & why, well no need to ask anymore questions, for I, “Ethan Stranger”, will provide with you all the answers (there’s a lot to tell, so just bare with me). It all started back during my High School years (2011-2015), I was with the Band, however, my freshman year of High School didn’t go too well for me, I felt like everything was falling apart around me (and I didn’t know any better): I failed Math 3 times, this led me to be ineligible to be apart of the UIL Competition in Fall 2011, when the eligible students return, the news spread like wildfire, for our band had won UIL & everybody was donning big shining gold medals...except for me. My English Teach...

The Horse That Couldn’t Be Broken: The Butterscotch Horseman Story

Image
Wouldn't you agree that there are some cartoon shows that develop characters in a predictable and one-dimensional way - they hardly ever evolve over the course of the plot - these shows don’t tend to really touch on human topics or our reality. However there are other shows where the characters are more than one-dimensional, they’re fully-dimensional, just like some human beings can be, this level of depth really captures emotions and thoughts in ways that can make us relate to the characters and our own life and predicaments. One of such shows is Bojack Horseman .  It seems just a few months ago, Netflix’s Bojack Horseman came to an end. While the series also had the time to flesh out several other characters (even Bojack’s own mother, Beatrice), I felt like the show didn’t really explore enough nor fleshed out the backstory of Bojack’s father “ Butterscotch Horseman ”, besides for several flashbacks of him showing of what a “ Great Father ” he was to Bojack as a child (knowing ...

The Biden/Harris Era: A New Hope for America

Image
Today I, Ethan Stranger, will be doing my 1st ever (and only) Political Blog Post, in the form of discussing what “Joe Biden/Kamala Harris” will do to our country (will they make improvements or not). In my opinion (being a democrat), I feel like that Biden/Harris are in fact the right people to get the country back on its feet. Especially with issues regarding our nationwide “Asperger Community” which has been left out of the main areas of discussion lately. I feel like (no offense) to past Presidents, like politicians don’t really put a lot of input in helping citizens with disabilities and different neurological profiles (neurodiverse). Each year, millions of Aspergers people (such as myself) struggle in making a living in today’s society, like attempting to move out, study a career or even finding a job (independently if a pandemic goes on).  For the last 4 years, the US has been divided to the point where we don’t know who to follow or to tell the difference between who’s rig...
