Vaccinating the World

Image
Completing a trilogy that started with my Coronastrophy! Post, then continued in my Streets of COVID Post , I ( Ethan Stranger ) would like to report I’ve finally received my 1st COVID vaccine shot (it was Pfizer’s). Now I must await for my 2nd Vaccine Shot (hopefully by then, the pandemic will begin to die, restrictions and regulations will be reduced to a minimum, mask requirements will no longer be a thing (though it has helped me with seasonal allergies) & things can go back to the way they were (or so we think), let’s delve deeper .... For those of you that haven't been following my posts, I’ve been struggling lately to get used to life during the pandemic - I find it that I’m often feeling anxious because of all the uncertainty there is and stress, I’ve been learning how to cope with them but it’s still hard to do for me. One of my biggest concerns was getting my COVID vaccine shot, in an attempt to be feel more protected from this deadly virus. I’ve noticed that I’ve bee...

Mornin'...With Al Jarreau

Image
(Roof Garden) Today I (Ethan Stranger) will present my 1st-ever blog post review of a musician who I grew up with..and that happens to be the late, great Al Jarreau. I’ve been listening to this guy’s great music long before even my parents and I knew that I had Aspergers/ADHD.  So for any Asperger or ADHD person, may I recommend listening to this man’s music, it’s soothing and relaxing (especially for those who’ve come back from college and feel exhausted and overworked). Al Jarreau was born (Alwyn Lopez Jarreau) on March 12, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin , Al Jarreau would grow up to become an American singer and songwriter who sang with almost acrobatic versatility and inventiveness, ranging from tenor crooning to scatting. His music contained influences of jazz, rhythm and blues, soul, and gospel without belonging precisely to any of those genres.  Jarreau won seven Grammy Awards across three different musical categories. (Our Love) Throughout my childhood, I always en...

BoJack Horseman Presents: The CuddlyWhiskers Show

Image
Hello to all fellow BoJack Horseman Fans, I want to follow-up on my 1st BoJack-related Post ( The Horse That Couldn’t Be Broken: The Butterscotch Horseman Story) with another relatable character from the Netflix Series (whom in my opinion should’ve gotten more episode appearances & should’ve been made more of a Mentor to BoJack himself), and that guy (or big fat hamster) is none other than Mr. CuddlyWhiskers himself. Despite his few appearances throughout the show, Mr. CuddlyWhiskers represents the reality of finding happiness in a world where no one appears to have it (especially because it’s not centered on money or awards, which is refreshing if you ask me ). So allow me ( Ethan Stranger ) to delve deeper into the way CuddlyWhiskers is represented on the show and why he is so relevant to our society nowadays. We first meet CuddlyWhiskers in the Flashback Episode within Season 3 (The BoJack Horseman Show) where Princess Carolyn (whom at the time is in a relationship with B...

X-Men: By Chris Claremont

Image
It all began back in 1963 when Marvel Masterminds “Stan Lee & Jack Kirby” debuted X-Men #1, their main goal with their new comic series was to show the fight for peace and equality between normal humans and mutants in a world where anti-mutant bigotry is fierce and widespread, this was all based around the Civil Rights Movement that was happening at the time, fun fact is that “ Professor X’s motivations were inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.” & Magento’s motivations were inspired by Malcom X”. In 1970, Marvel actually stopped publishing new X-Men stories for 5 years until writer Len Wein and artist Dave Cockrum launched “Giant-Sized X-Men #1”  with Cyclops (Leader of the Original X-Men) leads this new/divergent team, however the writer who would change the face of the X-Men was “Chris Claremont”, so allow me, Ethan Stranger , to dive deep into Claremont’s 16-Year X-Men Run & What the X-Men (in general) can represent for the Asperger Community (that’s been continu...
