The Horse That Couldn’t Be Broken: The Butterscotch Horseman Story

Image
Wouldn't you agree that there are some cartoon shows that develop characters in a predictable and one-dimensional way - they hardly ever evolve over the course of the plot - these shows don’t tend to really touch on human topics or our reality. However there are other shows where the characters are more than one-dimensional, they’re fully-dimensional, just like some human beings can be, this level of depth really captures emotions and thoughts in ways that can make us relate to the characters and our own life and predicaments. One of such shows is Bojack Horseman .  It seems just a few months ago, Netflix’s Bojack Horseman came to an end. While the series also had the time to flesh out several other characters (even Bojack’s own mother, Beatrice), I felt like the show didn’t really explore enough nor fleshed out the backstory of Bojack’s father “ Butterscotch Horseman ”, besides for several flashbacks of him showing of what a “ Great Father ” he was to Bojack as a child (knowing ...

The Biden/Harris Era: A New Hope for America

Image
Today I, Ethan Stranger, will be doing my 1st ever (and only) Political Blog Post, in the form of discussing what “Joe Biden/Kamala Harris” will do to our country (will they make improvements or not). In my opinion (being a democrat), I feel like that Biden/Harris are in fact the right people to get the country back on its feet. Especially with issues regarding our nationwide “Asperger Community” which has been left out of the main areas of discussion lately. I feel like (no offense) to past Presidents, like politicians don’t really put a lot of input in helping citizens with disabilities and different neurological profiles (neurodiverse). Each year, millions of Aspergers people (such as myself) struggle in making a living in today’s society, like attempting to move out, study a career or even finding a job (independently if a pandemic goes on).  For the last 4 years, the US has been divided to the point where we don’t know who to follow or to tell the difference between who’s rig...

Just a Stray Black Cat: The Felicia Hardy Story

Image
An unlikely sequel to “ Diamondback in the Rough: The Rachel Leighton Story”. I, Ethan Stranger , will be discussing another of Marvel Comics’ Hottest women (who has yet to headline her own movie), may I present, “The Black Cat (Felicia Hardy)”, enemy, love interest, and ally to our “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”, 1st appearing in “ Amazing Spider-Man #194 ”, Created by Marv Wolfman & Dave Cockrum, you can obviously tell she’s a ripoff of DC’s Catwoman, but allow me to break down to you why I love her... To recap on her comics history, Felicia Hardy was the daughter of a world-renowned cat burglar, “Walter Hardy” . Over time, Felicia made the decision to strengthen herself and became quite skilled at fighting and acrobatics. She would soon follow in her father's footsteps, by adopting the costumed identity of the Black Cat . While she does have incredible reflexes & agility, another ability she has is the power to inflict “Bad Luck” on her opponents. Originally introduc...

Raising Aspergers

Image
Parenting is quite the challenge isn't it? I think that every single parent out there has struggled when raising their children… and this is ok. Bottom line, raising children is difficult, really difficult, and it can get even worse when we don't understand what our child is going through or just don’t understand why they are different from others. Well hold the phone, for I, Ethan Stranger, will  provide help for parents who struggle in taking care of their beloved Child (or Children) with Aspergers, who sometimes, don't even understand themselves. Let’s get started… As I mentioned in my previous post, “ The Aspergers Academy” , I didn’t learn that I had Aspergers until later on in my life. So, for more than 18 years I thought that something had to be wrong with me, there had to be a reason why I was somewhat different to others, right?  So, when I got my answer and found out I had Aspergers I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by shame, and uncertainty, like I was some so...

High School Crushes: Preparing for Love

Image
A continuation from my previous blog posts, “High School Memoirs: Teachers & Bullies Club: No More”, I, Ethan Stranger will be discussing about a topic that I’m sure we (including people with Asperger’s) can relate to and that’s “Love (or whatever we think it really is during our High School Years)” . You see this letter (picture, above) , this was written by my “High School Crush”, we shared 3 ½ beautiful years together (From Late 2011-Late 2014), we gave each cute nicknames, I called her “Girl” and she called me “Buddy”. However she was a grade higher (she was a sophomore back then and I was a freshman), unfortunately we never got to be anymore than friends - but this relationship made me learn a lot about what love is, and how our own perception of it can be different to others.  So you’re asking yourself “How did we meet?” , well it happened on a Friday Night, Football Game (December 2011, one week before Xmas break), I was sitting with some friends of mine, below me was “h...
